I am returning back to NSW to perform shows and to also have my mum cook me her famous cabbage rolls. It's a double win! I will be playing at the Wollombi Music Festival, Lizottes Newcastle and at my old stomping ground The Junkyard. Tickets for the Lizottes show are selling fast, we have just announced that Holly Clayton and Adam Miller will be joining us on the night which is going to be a dream. Please visit http://www.newcastle.lizottes.com.au for more information on how to get the hottest tickets in town.
I was so happy to be invited back to perform along side Australia's national treasure, Renee Geyer and also make my debut at the world renowned jazz venue, Bennetts Lane. It has always been a life long dream to play in that room, so thank you to all of those who purchased cd's and made me feel all clucky with love inside. SALUTE!
Rhythms Magazine Premiering Zoe K's new single 'Wedding Ring'. Recorded and mixed by Nick Guttman at The Parlor, New Orleans and mastered by Lachlan Carrick at Moose Mastering, Melbourne.
Just wrapped up finishing laying tracks down for the upcoming album. It started here in Melbourne at The Aviary Recording Studio and then I decided to take them to New Orleans. When opportunities to work with New Orleans musicians such as Mike Bass (Trombone Shorty), Terrence Houston (George Porter Jnr) and Raja Kassis (Anti Balas), I called upon the help with a good old Pozible campaign that made that become a reality. The album is currently getting mixed and hoping that the release will be ready for September / October.
Who would have thought that hours after this photo was taken we would be near drenched to the point of the festival being cancelled? Louisianan weather. But I did support mostly ALL OF THE FOOD VENDORS. Crawfish Monica will forever have my heart.
I have just returned back from New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival which I was asked to perform at a selection of Jazz Fest Side Shows including one with HBO Treme star / New Orleans finest, Kermit Ruffins.
